the thing I was thinking about is if there was something Music Manumit, blocSonic, or maybe the #CCMA could do for people in the community with mental health issues. There's no reason not to use the connections I already have, even if I can't be as involved in those projects as I was. !ccmusic !ccmsc !musicians !depression

Also, it's worth noting that Music Manumit got started out of the thought of doing something exactly like this, and we thought we needed to build up more community involvement. -

Not that I have time to do it, but it would be kinda cool to have a fediverse music awards. All judges and musicians come from the fediverse.

@webmind OStatus has had the !syntax for groups, which is, more or less, exactly what you're after. It functions as a thing that lives on an instance, and if you're part of it, you can post to it, and receive all the posts it gets, e.g. !cycling or !musicians (sorry for using you folks as examples ;) )
GNU Social and afaik all other OStatus implementations have them already, but mastodon hasn't thus far. -

Just did one of the smallest public gigs I've ever done. Just me (on the bone), a bassist and and a singer. It went pretty well, actually, especially considering just two rehearsals/band meetings before hand :) !musicians !jazz -

No, Tom is not willing to do whatever application you prefer for VOIP other than the ones listed. However, we CAN do US phone #s. Audio quality is not great, but neither are shit Internet lines, so we've come to accept it's an option. It's not something we are likely to ever put on our details page.
Eventually, I'd like to bring back Music Manumit Extra, where it will just be me and I can use free software tools. I've got to find a new job first though.
We don't really interview podcasters any more. Tom just doesn't find those conversations interesting, although if you podcast and release music or have an interesting application, it might be worth a shot. -

I experimented a bit with my voodoo cobbled-together breadboarded APC/Baby8/Synthacon thing yesterday. Went straight to dress (well.. kinda) rehearsal for the Renhornen concert from the jam.
It's gonna be a great one, I think, though not without its certain amount of surprises (not least for the band) and craziness. And who knows what the guest artist might come up with?
Everything from 30's style On the Sunny Side of the Street to Justin Bieber is included in the program, so we've got our work cut out for us as !musicians, no doubt.
I'm sure there'll be videos up eventually. No video taken at the blues jam afaik, though. -
