      @maloki I remember reading a similar article in New Scientist a little while ago.

      It amazes me that there are as many neurons in the human gut as there are in the average cats brain and that they communicate with the brain in our skull in some way.

      As an area of research its all mostly new ground and the potential for incredible discoveries is exciting.

      @maloki it does, off the top of my head I remember research into gut bacteria and their link with depression. The relationship makes sense now I can see the gut as having a tangible connection to the brain.
